I'm Sorry

I'm sorry - what more can I say?
To lose you over ignorance is a price I can't pay
My love for you is much too strong
It won't die, even though I did you wrong
Even though you might not feel the same
I know I was wrong; I take all the blame
I can only hope and pray that maybe one day
You'll love me again; I hope there's a way
I can promise I'll never be so unthoughtful again
An apology in person would be better; all I have is this pen
I just hope these words prove I still love you
I can't say it enough, please tell me you still do
Give me a chance again to prove
That I can be sweet; Another chance to move
Your heart into countless circles and to see
Your beautiful smile and your eyes filled with glee
I hope that I can be your world again one day
I'm sorry - what more can I say?

Life

Life is like a flower
Growing with every shower
Storms come and go
And strong winds blow
But through it all
The flower stands tall
The sun pours its heat
The life it tries to cheat
The flower bears the pain
And continues to grow again
Trying to hide its sorrow
Begging for another tomorrow
For in the flower's eye
We only get one try

Free

All things are free
From leaves on the tree
To a mothers first born
Including the sun in the sky
To the twinkle in your eye
Even to those who mourn
Sometimes we have to pay
Be it trying to find a way
Or the important dollar we save
At times we pay a price
But the lesson learned is free advice
Learned from the effort we gave
Our innocence is never really lost
Just sometimes we ignore the cost
Never really seeing the beauty of life
Always forgetting all things are free
Even life just existing to be
Just be free. Just be alive.

Everything

In the search to have everything
We often lose sight of all the things
We hold dear to our heart and our lives
Later we find the pain tears at our hearts with knives
A man with power seeks even more
Trying to conquer everything, with nowhere to store
The pain and anguish he has left behind
Trying to get ahead of where he is now, only to later find
Where he is now, is where he wanted to be all along
He has lost the life he wanted, all because he was wrong
A man with no power, no treasure seeks to find
The gold and money that will one day make him blind
To the real treasure he had found long ago
For the day he was born, his treasure was life and its cargo
Born to a family of love, with parents so willing
To give him anything his heart desired, yet he kept killing
Their hopes to raise him right. 'Til one day,
He is left all alone, with no one to obey,
Love, honor and cherish and finds he's all alone
Left with only memories, of a time that is now far gone
He carries a pain that won't go away
He's left searching his soul and his mind
Thinking life just isn't kind
To put a man through such pain, 'til he sees
To his own life, love, and honor he holds the keys
With this new found wisdom, he is thrilled
But with no one to share for their trust he has killed
Only fo find that in search for his glorious treasure
He has found no treasure, no love, no life, no pleasure
He still lives, breathes and talks, but in his mind
He is dead. To the world, himself, to all mankind
To lose sight of love and life. And all the things
We hold dear, we will never, ever have everthing
